About the Piece

Written by Johann Sebastian Bach. The Minuet  is found in the 1725 Notebook for Anna Magdalena Bach. A ”Minuet” by name it means a slow and stately dance. Most music written in the classical era were for a dance. Most Classical music has no name and are identified with the key and the dance form used hence the name Minuet  is a name given to it.

Although this Piece can be played by a solo Pianist. I’ll be giving a PRIMO and SECONDO part so as to play this piece as an ensemble(group).

How to play this piece?

  1. write the rhythm of the piece on top of the note
  2. write the note names at the note head
  3. take 2 bars at a time and master it and then move further on
  4. remember to play a small portion of the piece and repeat several times. this leads to something we call ”FINGER MEMORY”
